Normal day, let me be aware of the treasure you are. Let me learn from you, love you, bless you before you depart. Let me not pass you by in quest of some rare and perfect tomorrow.

Our Neighbours
Here are some of our neighbours in our compound. We are an ethnically diverse bunch with South Africans, Italians and French to our left and Indians and Egyptians to our right. Almost half the compound is Lebanese. I only discovered all this recently as everyone hibernates with the heat and front doors are barely opened. With the cooler weather which has been gifted upon us recently we have discovered many children living amongst us. Now the girls spend much of the afternoon outside playing - most of the conversation is in Arabic but our girls don't seem to mind and they either just listen and watch or jump and play along beside the chilren. A and I feel a little guilty as we mostly leave the girls to play without the close supervision which we would be compelled upon in Melbourne with the comfort that the nanny to child ratio is usually very high. In the photos are a few of the little children being cared for by the maids.
